Ashby-Hodge Art Gallery

Classic Hall on the campus of Central Methodist UniversityThe Ashby-Hodge Gallery of American Art will once again host the adult portion of the Fayette Art Show. The gallery was established on the campus of Central Methodist University in 1993.  It is named in honor of the late Dr. and Mrs. Lawrence D. Ashby of Pekin, IL, who donated the main collection, and the late Dr. and Mrs. Robert H. Hodge, long-time residents of Kansas City, MO, who are special benefactors along with the CMU class of 1943.

The Gallery presents three to five shows a year.  Many of the artists whose works are exhibited are from mid-Missouri.  The Gallery also books touring shows and continues to exhibit work from its permanent collection which has over 700 works including the over 150 works in the Ashby Collection.

The Gallery which recently moved to the newly renovated Classic Hall is open to the public from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and by special arrangement.
